“ This is an updated review in 2025. I have been to this chip shop a few times and the Fish and Chips are just wonderful. Sadly the cafe is not open anymore. These days they charge for parking in the two main car parks in Golspie, we parked elsewhere and walked here and then sat at the benches to eat our lunch. It is not quite the same and the seagulls are a real nuisance. ”

The food was damn tasty and we enjoyed our fish and a deep fried blood pudding snack on the beach! They aren’t skimp on the tartar either, which is great. It was all super! ”

“ Great fish and chips! We ordered the Jumbo fish supper & single calamari. This fed three adults easily! We had left overs. (For the internationals I learned that ‘supper’ means ‘chips’ and ‘breaded’ means ‘crumbed’). We were impressed; fish, calamari and chips were cooked beautifully. Also, it’s just a 1 minute walk around the corner and you can have your lunch along the ocean, plenty of park benches. Perfect spot for lunch! ”
